My parents purchased a painting by your father in 1967.
They were living in Pasadena at the time on South Orange Grove Blvd. I now have the lovely painting of a boy fishing on the river bank. It is lovely! I would love for you to see it and add it to your father’s art history catalogue.

Hello – I have a Bernard Wynne which I obtained from my father (George Blacher – Pasadena Artists Supplies) many years ago. . . I am now getting my art in order to pass down to my kids.

I remember (I think) my dad telling my that Mr Wynn worked out of a trailer – pre EPA – at Cal Tech.

If you have the time, I would appreciate hearing from you so as I can honestly pass the story on to my kids and grandkids.

    Thanks – Jonathan

    Hi Mary,
Many years ago I purchased two of your Dad’s paintings, the original he made a litho of and the Merced River in Yosemite, which I love, and I was wondering if there was a market for his work and if so where should I go to get an idea what these pieces are worth Thanks for your help.

My husband and I own a 24 x 30 inch original painting by Bernard Wynne titled ‘Pueblo Wash Wildflowers’.
It was purchased on November 23, 1974 from the Zantman Art Galleries in Palm Desert, California.
We have the original invoice for the purchase which shows that it was purchased for $850 plus $51 tax.
Just as a matter of interest, we would be interested to know what the value of the painting might be currently as we suspect that it has increased since the purchase approximately 43 years ago.

38 years ago (1982), my father-in-law purchased a oil painting by Bernard Wynne titled “Rider in the Desert”.
I was wondering if you could please fill in some details behind this painting?
    Thank you very much.

  • My wife’s late parents purchased Mr. Wynne’s 30X40
Indian Cove from Zantman Art Gallery in Palm Springs, CA.. We are in process of determining value to many of their art works in order to insure them.
They paid $1200 for Indian Cove over 20 plus years ago.
Can you provide us with an estimated value and/or direct us to someone who may.
    Thank you,

    Hi Mary!

  • I have recently acquired 2 works by Bernard Wynne.
I was told the grove of trees behind a beautiful field is titled “November In Louisiana” and second is “Louisiana Marsh”

Both are signed lower right of the painting and on the back.

I would send photos but need an email to attach the pictures.
I love his work and an so pleased to have found them.
